Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team on sites at Horton-Cum-Studley and Thame in Oxfordshire. You will be responsible for commercial management during the construction phase, delivering value and collaborating with the wider team.

You'll manage procurement, valuations, cost forecasts, and contract administration while leading and supporting junior staff to meet deadlines and targets. We value teamwork and practical problem solving.

Qualifications

• University-level construction-related degree is required.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Experience in a commercial role for a contractor, ideally with MEP exposure.
• Experience with a variety of contract forms.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with procurement strategies, including managing subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
• Managing valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts with monthly cost reports.
• Providing legal and contractual advice on orders, changes, and subcontractor administration.
• Driving commercial initiatives and producing margin improvement plans to maximise opportunities.
• Leading and supporting junior staff, ensuring workload targets and deadlines are met.

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team based on our Horton-Cum-Studley WTW and Thame WTW sites in Oxfordshire.

Location: Horton-Cum-Studley and ThameOxfordshire
Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within our commercial team on an exciting Water Framework project. You'll play a key role in assisting with the commercial management during the construction phase, ensuring successful delivery while working collaboratively with the wider team.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering commercial excellence on Water Framework projects. Your day to day will include:

• Ensuring compliance with procurement strategies, including managing subcontract inquiries and tender reviews
• Managing valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts with monthly cost reports

• You hold a relevant academic qualification in a Construction related degree
• You hold a Full driving licence
• You have prior experience working in a commercial role for a contractor, ideally with MEP exposure
• You have experience working with a variety of contract forms
• You have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
