Job summary

Stonbury Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team in Chawston. You will manage commercial duties across contracts from pre-construction to final account, coordinate tender processes, perform take-offs and pricing, and liaise with subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.

The role requires NEC contracts pricing experience, strong Excel skills, and a full driving licence. Salary up to £65,000 plus car or £6k allowance, with additional benefits and a permanent on-site

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, construction related discipline, or significant work experience.
• Experience pricing works to NEC contracts.
• Strong IT skills, in particular MS Excel.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial duties on construction contracts from Pre-construction through to Final Account and Certificate.
• Coordinate tender process, set programme and actions, liaise with stakeholders and meet deadlines.
• Take-off quantities from Scope Information for pricing.
• Price work items from first principles using labour, materials and plant costs.
• Liaise with subcontractors to obtain competitive prices for works.
• Prepare monthly interim valuations and final accounts for timely invoicing and payment applications.
• Manage change and compensation events under NEC and other contracts.
• Compile monthly reconciliations and work in progress assessments for management accounts.
• Review aged debt and retainages to secure cashflow.
