Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support commercial performance across utilities and civil engineering projects. You will work with operational teams, clients and stakeholders to maximise value, manage risk and ensure robust financial control.

The role requires NEC contract knowledge, experience in compensation events, change management and accurate reporting. Location Bradford/Leyland, 42.5 hours per week, negotiable salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within utilities, infrastructure, civil engineering, water, or capital projects.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts.
• Experience managing project cost, value, forecasting, change control and commercial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of allocated projects from mobilisation through to final account.
• Support strong commercial governance across assigned projects with audit trails and evidence.
• Monitor cost, value, cash, margin, risk and opportunity performance across projects.
• Support CVR reviews, commercial reporting and performance meetings with commentary on risks and actions.
• Drive cost control, cash recovery, value management and margin protection during delivery.
• Ensure contractual obligations and commercial processes align with business objectives.
