Job summary

Linxon in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our project team delivering a 400kV substation infrastructure initiative. You will report to the Commercial Manager and drive cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting to the client and stakeholders.

You will manage NEC4 Option C contracts, handle compensation events, and collaborate with procurement and project teams to optimise value, reduce risk, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery across the

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC 4 contracts, particularly Option C.
• Excellent financial management and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CEMAR, MS Excel, or similar tools).

Responsibilities

• Cost management: monitor and control project costs to ensure delivery within budget.
• Contract administration: administer NEC 4 Option C contracts and manage compensation events.
• Reporting: provide CVRs, forecasts and stakeholder updates.
• Collaboration: liaise with client, subcontractors and internal teams.
