Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a 400kV substation project. You will report to the Commercial Manager and drive cost control, contract administration and commercial success.

Key duties include NEC 4 Option C administration, risk management, income forecasting and stakeholder reporting, with collaboration across client and supply chain. Hybrid working and a competitive package on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC 4 contracts, particularly Option C.
• Excellent financial management and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software such as CEMAR and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs to ensure the project is delivered within budget.
• Administer NEC 4 Option C contract terms and manage variations and CE submissions.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks through value engineering.
• Provide regular CVRs, forecasts, and financial reporting to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with client, subcontractors and internal teams on procurement.
