Job summary

Search is recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major substation project at Indian Queens, Cornwall. You will manage commercial performance, administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, and work with project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors to optimise costs and value.

The role requires substantial experience in energy infrastructure, strong commercial risk management, and the ability to lead cost-control activities across the project lifecycle. UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts on infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Cost control, CVRs, forecasting and contract administration.
• Substantial experience as a Quantity Surveyor in energy or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of the project from inception through to final account.
• Administer NEC3/NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contracts.
• Manage Early Warnings, Compensation Events and payment applications.
• Produce accurate CVRs, financial reports and forecasts.
• Implement effective cost control measures.
• Identify, assess and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Manage subcontract procurement and commercial administration.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and contractual compliance.
• Manage variations and Compensation Events through to agreement.
• Negotiate and agree commercial costs.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team where required.
