Job summary

Mane Contract Services in Cornwall seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support energy infrastructure and substations on contracts up to 400kV. This 8-month role starts ASAP and focuses on delivering commercial excellence across projects.

You will manage all commercial aspects, administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, control costs, assess risk, and mentor junior team members within a collaborative project environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team

Responsibilities

• Manage cost control, CVRs, forecasts and financial reporting.

• Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Provide commercial support and guidance to junior team members where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of projects from inception through to final account.


• Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including Early Warnings, Compensation Events and payment applications.


• Manage cost control, CVRs, forecasts and financial reporting.


• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.


• Manage subcontractor procurement and commercial administration.
