Job summary

Kenna Recruitment Ltd are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Procurement Focused) for a major North West London project. You will lead subcontractor procurement, manage packages and control costs on a £400m new-build development running through to 2032.

The role emphasizes subcontractor tendering, negotiations, and daily commercial management within NEC frameworks, offering hybrid working with 1 day on-site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related qualification.
• Proven experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor on major construction projects.
• Strong subcontractor procurement experience: tendering, negotiation and package placement.
• Solid understanding of NEC contracts and practical application.
• Experience managing variations, CVRs, cost reporting and subcontractor accounts.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation within a large project team.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontractor procurement, including tender enquiries, bid analysis, negotiations and placing subcontractor orders.
• Manage subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account.
• Administer variations, change control and contractual entitlements.
• Prepare and manage CVRs, cost reporting and commercial forecasts.
• Monitor project costs, identify commercial risks and implement cost-control measures.
• Work with NEC contracts, ensuring procedures and obligations are followed.
• Collaborate with wider commercial and project teams to support delivery of the scheme.
