Job summary

Prime Phenix is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for an office-based role in Central London. You will lead subcontract procurement, commercial management and payment processes across construction projects to ensure compliance with main contracts and company policy.

Essential duties include tender management, commercial evaluation, negotiations, and managing change, risk and disputes to deliver value for money on schemes, including projects over £5M.

Qualifications

• Experience negotiating and awarding subcontract packages.
• Strong understanding of UK contract forms (JCT/NEC).
• Ability to interpret contract terms and ensure robust back-to-back clauses.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontract tendering and commercial evaluation.
• Oversee measurement, valuation and payment of subcontractors.
• Manage variations, change orders and site instructions.
• Identify contractual risks and manage disputes to early resolutions.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, compliance and closeout.
