Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the Sizewell C project in Suffolk. You will own commercial elements from award to final account, administer NEC3/4 contracts, manage cost reporting, cash flow, and valuations.

The role requires a degree in QS or related, 5-8 years' experience, ability to obtain BPSS/SC clearance, full UK driving license, and willingness to travel to site. A competitive salary between £65,000 and £75,000 plus company car, private healthcare, gym membership

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years' Quantity Surveying experience within construction, civil engineering, geotechnical or specialist subcontracting sectors.
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience administering NEC3/4 contracts, including Options A, B, C and E.
• At least 3 years' experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level.

Responsabilités

• Taking full commercial ownership of key Sizewell C accounts from award through to final account.
• Administering NEC3 and NEC4 contracts across multiple work packages.
• Managing CVRs, cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow performance.
• Leading valuations, payment applications and commercial negotiations.
• Preparing and agreeing compensation events, variations, remeasures and extensions of time.
• Providing contractual advice to project and operational teams.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, alliance partners and stakeholders.

Daily Responsibilities

Required Skills

• Excellent communication, report-writing and interpersonal skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS/SC security clearance for the Sizewell C project
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel regularly to site
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Experience using commercial management platforms such as CEMAR, Oracle Unifier or FastDraft would be advantageous
