Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the Sizewell C project in Suffolk. The role is permanent with responsibilities spanning commercial ownership from award through final account and NEC3/4 contract administration.

You will manage cost reporting, cash flow, valuations, and compensation events, while advising on contract strategy and risk mitigation. A degree in QS or related field and 5–8 years' experience are required, including 5+ years in senior QS roles.

Qualifications

• Mandatory degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline.
• 5-8 years' Quantity Surveying experience within construction, civil engineering, geotechnical or specialist subcontracting sectors.
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience administering NEC3/4 contracts, including Options A, B, C and E.
• At least 3 years' experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level.

Responsibilities

• Taking full commercial ownership of key Sizewell C accounts from award through to final account.
• Administering NEC3 and NEC4 contracts across multiple work packages.
• Managing CVRs, cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow performance.
• Leading valuations, payment applications and commercial negotiations.
• Preparing and agreeing compensation events, variations, remeasures and extensions of time.
• Providing contractual advice to project and operational teams.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, alliance partners and stakeholders.
