Job summary

Allison Homes is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of multiple residential developments across the region, delivering projects on time, within budget and in line with business objectives. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will lead commercial aspects and mentor junior team members.

Ideal candidates will have significant QS experience in housebuilding, strong cost planning, procurement and subcontract management, and excellent financial reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Significant quantity surveying experience within housebuilding or residential development.
• Strong cost planning, procurement and subcontract management expertise.
• Excellent commercial awareness and financial reporting skills.
• Experience managing multiple developments simultaneously.
• The ability to build strong relationships across a range of stakeholders.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Professional membership of RICS, or working towards membership.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of multiple residential developments.
• Prepare and manage site start budgets and cost plans.
• Produce valuations, forecasts, cost reports and cash flow projections.
• Lead subcontract procurement and tender processes.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
• Monitor project budgets, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Provide commercial input into land acquisitions and value engineering opportunities.
• Support regional financial planning and strategic commercial initiatives.
• Resolve commercial and contractual issues while protecting business interests.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the commercial team.
