Job summary

Kitson Associates in the Midlands is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through final account. You will oversee budgets, forecasts and cost plans, and manage procurement while driving value for the business.

You will build strong relationships with Housing Associations, Local Authorities and Registered Providers to deliver affordable housing and partnership-led schemes, including Extra Care/ retirement

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
• Strong background within Partnership Housing, Affordable Housing or Residential Development.
• Experience delivering Extra Care Housing, Supported Living, Retirement Living or Specialist Residential schemes – desirable.
• Experience working with Housing Associations, Local Authorities and Registered Providers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience with regeneration and brownfield housing developments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial management of multiple developments from inception through to final account.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, valuations and cost plans.
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Administration of subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts.
• Close collaboration with construction, technical and land teams.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with Housing Associations, Local Authorities and Registered Providers.
• Supporting the successful delivery of affordable housing and partnership-led developments.
