Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor in Wetherby, with hybrid working, to lead cost management on refurbishment and fit-out projects across the UK. You will handle budgets, timelines, and client liaison, guiding projects from tender through to final accounts.

The ideal candidate will bring proven QS experience, a degree in QS or Construction Management, and strong Excel/Office skills. Flexible travel to site locations and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree (Quantity Surveying or Construction Management) or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in retail, hospitality, or student accommodation sectors.
• Experience with JCT, framework agreements and other construction contracts.
• Excellent estimating, budgeting and cost management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Oversee refurbishment and fit-out projects within budget and on time.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to meet milestones.
• Lead client briefing meetings with cost analyses and timelines.
• Coordinate and manage the full project lifecycle from tendering through to final account negotiations.
• Provide accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and report variances.
• Chair and lead project meetings with stakeholders.
• Build relationships with clients and provide professional guidance.
