Job summary

Vertical Recruitment is assisting an established multidisciplinary construction consultancy in the North West to strengthen their North West Cost Management team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

You will work across a varied pipeline including new build, refurbishment, retrofit and fit-out, taking ownership of commissions from feasibility through to final account, with regular client interaction and a strong focus on delivering value.

Qualifications

• Solid consultancy Quantity Surveying background with pre- and post-contract delivery.
• Experience across industrial, commercial, logistics, refurbishment or fit-out projects.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from feasibility to completion.
• Prepare estimates, budgets and cost plans.
• Advise on procurement and commercial strategy.
• Manage tender processes and contractor analysis.
• Monitor expenditure, forecast costs and manage change.
• Prepare valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Produce cost and commercial reporting.
• Work with clients, contractors and consultant teams.
• Develop relationships across established client accounts.
• Support junior Cost Management team members.
