Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Track North Commercial Team on the HS2 project in Birmingham. You will support commercial management, cost control, forecasting and reporting for the Track North portfolio.

You will administrate main contracts, manage change and procurement, and maintain accurate records while building strong relationships with the project team and supply chain partners.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience in quantity surveying or commercial management within construction, engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, cost management and commercial reporting.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of the Track North portfolio including cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Administrate the main contract and supply chain agreements per contractual governance.
• Manage commercial change including compensation events, variations and value recovery.
• Support procurement activities, tender evaluations and subcontract management.
• Assess applications for payment and maintain accurate commercial records.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities with clear advice to stakeholders.
• Build effective relationships with project teams, clients and supply chain partners while protecting the JV's position.
