Job summary

Real Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Poole to join a dynamic construction team. You will manage commercial and cost aspects across projects, working closely with directors to deliver high-quality surveying and project management services.

The role requires proven cost management and contract knowledge, with a strong emphasis on client-facing delivery and meticulous financial reporting. A full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management and quantity surveying.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, contracts and procurement.
• Confident communicator, able to lead meetings and negotiations.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Commercial & cost management across projects.
• Prepare budget cost appraisals and cost plans.
• Take-off, measurement, and billing.
• Produce Bills of Quantities and preliminaries.
• Valuations, assessments and financial reporting.
• Prepare, negotiate and finalise accounts.
• Prepare and assess loss and expense claims.
• Support contract administration, disputes, and litigation where needed.
• Project management and contract administration.
• Administer building contracts and supervise tendering.
