You will lead a commercial team, mentor colleagues, and work with operational and leadership teams to maximise value and protect margin.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in quantity surveying and commercial management on major projects.
• Strong leadership experience, including managing and developing commercial teams.
• In-depth knowledge of standard forms of contract and construction commercial processes.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, with a proven track record of protecting margin.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of major projects or a portfolio of schemes, ensuring financial success
• Oversee cost planning, forecasting, valuations, variations, and final account negotiations
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the commercial team, supporting development and performance
• Drive procurement strategy and subcontractor management to achieve best value and risk mitigation
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to influence commercial strategy and project outcomes
