Job summary

V3 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support projects near the Hampshire/Dorset border. You will manage cost control, tendering, procurement, and subcontractor engagement across multiple sites.

The role requires strong analytical and cost-management skills, with experience in construction contracts (JCT) and value for money. A professional construction qualification is preferred and site-based work is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify risks.
• Cost reporting procedures (CVR) understood.
• Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience in cost management for multiple large projects.

Responsibilities

• Check contract documentation for errors and omissions to avoid unnecessary costs.
• Prepare tender lists and procurement programmes.
• Prepare cost analyses from tender enquiries and monitor procurement trackers.
• Appoint subcontractors and negotiate contract sums within budget.
• Provide cost advice on major variations and post-completion defects.
• Attend project and subcontractor meetings as required.
