Job summary

Abatec Recruitment seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major civil infrastructure project at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. The role focuses on pre-construction, design development and NEC3-based commercial management during a £30m ECI phase, with collaboration across design and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3 Option C contracts is essential.
• Previous involvement in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) is advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness are required.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management of the £30m ECI phase.
• Develop and manage design scope with Arup and project team.
• Manage change and compensation events under NEC3 Option C.
• Monitor design development and commercial implications of scope changes.
• Assist with cost planning, forecasting and reporting in pre-construction.
• Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks.
• Coordinate with design, engineering and delivery teams for commercial alignment.
