Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role, focusing on commercial management and NEC contracts within MEP projects.

You will lead commercial activities across the project, manage risks, prepare payment applications, and support final accounts, with progression opportunities and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• MEP / M&E experience would be highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Experience with change and subcontract management.
• Background working for a reputable contractor or subcontractor.
• Degree, HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Understanding of NEC3/NEC4, with JCT knowledge beneficial.
• Strong commercial awareness and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual requirements throughout project delivery.
• Identify and manage project risks, opportunities and change.
• Prepare and submit applications for payment.
• Manage compensation events and variations.
• Support subcontract accounts through to final settlement.
• Maintain accurate records to protect contractual entitlements.
• Monitor progress alongside operational teams.
• Produce accurate commercial reports and project documentation.
• Support negotiations through to final account.
• Ensure work is carried out in line with contractual and company requirements.
