Job summary

Severfield, based at the Sellafield Westlakes site, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial and contractual management of client contracts and subcontract packages. The role focuses on cost control, reporting, and CVR forecasting within a highly regulated nuclear/infrastructure context.

You will apply NEC3/NEC4 knowledge (Options A & C) and standard measurement methods, while guiding project teams with contractual advice and ensuring audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Proven experience managing projects within nuclear and/or defence sectors.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (Options A & C).
• Familiarity with standard methods of measurement.
• Preferably detailed knowledge of the structural steel industry and its technical requirements.
• Excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contractual management of client contracts and subcontract packages.
• Oversee cost reporting, forecasting and CVR processes.
• Timely and effective change management and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with NEC3/NEC4 (Options A & C) and relevant measurement standards.
• Manage subcontractor payments, variations and compensation events.
• Support project teams with contractual advice and commercial leadership.
• Maintain accurate commercial documentation and audit-ready records.
• Contribute to risk management, cost control and project performance reporting.
