Aldwych Consulting Ltd in Essex is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on major infrastructure and construction schemes. You will manage NEC contracts (Option C) and drive cost control from inception to final accounts.

The role requires contractor-side experience, strong negotiation and reporting skills, and the ability to attend site three days a week. You will collaborate with project teams to maximise value and ensure commercial success.

Competenze

• Proven experience in senior surveying on main contractor or contractor-side commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, especially Option C.
• Experience managing costs, forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project delivery teams.

Mansioni

• Manage commercial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Administer NEC contracts with emphasis on Option C target cost arrangements.
• Handle compensation events, early warnings, change control and contractual notifications.
• Forecast final accounts and monitor project costs; report on commercial performance.
• Prepare and review applications for payment, valuations and final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, clients and subcontractors to maintain commercial control.
• Support subcontract procurement, package management and commercial negotiations.
