Job summary

Apple Technical Recruitment (UK) is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major project in Suffolk. The role is permanent and site-based, reporting to directors and leading a small QS team on a project valued at £70m+.

You will oversee all commercial functions, produce CVRs and manage payments, variations and final accounts, with exposure to pre-construction PCSA and 2-stage tenders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior working on new build projects £50m+.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Sector experience to include at least one of Commercial, Defence, Industrial or Education.
• Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor, Managing QS, Commercial Manager, Lead Quantity Surveyor, Principal Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management on a large project with a small team of QS.
• Produce CVRs, manage sub-contractor payments, variations and final accounts.
• Report to directors and help grow the regional team.
• Experience in pre-construction PCSA stage and 2-stage tenders.

Company & Project: A successful Tier 1 Main Contractor with stable pipeline of secured projects across the East have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their business and working on key project valued at over £70m.

The company are looking for a candidate that has experience managing others and is looking to make a decisive step in their career. Previous experience leading projects over £50m in single value is essential for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will take responsibility for working across all commercial management functions on a large project overseeing a small team of Quantity Surveyors. Key duties include: producing CVRs, managing team workload to include applications for payment from sub-contractors, variations and preparation of final accounts. You will be reporting at a senior level to directors and help build the team and overall growth of the region. Experience working in pre-construction within PCSA stage and on 2-stage tenders is essential for this position.

Desirable Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior working on new build projects c£50m+.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Sector experience to include atl east one of the following: Commercial, Defence, Industrial or Education.
• Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Managing QS OR Commercial Manager OR Lead Quantity Surveyor OR Principal Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor.
