Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of an established engineering and construction business in West Cumbria for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This permanent role focuses on commercial leadership across high-value, complex nuclear projects and requires strong client relationship skills.

You will manage commercial activities from contract award to final account, negotiate variations, and work within an experienced team to deliver profitable outcomes while maintaining stakeholder

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong background in a commercial role within the construction or engineering sector.
• Solid working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and build long-term client relationships.
• Understanding of fabrication processes (desirable).
• Experience managing variations while maintaining repeat business.

• Ensuring successful commercial outcomes across major projects
• Managing commercial activities from contract award through to final account
• Administering and negotiating variations and contract changes
• Working collaboratively within an experienced commercial team
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Liaising with internal departments to support profitable project delivery
