Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group, is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our Glasgow site. The role entails commercial leadership across major projects, managing risk, and driving value within a nuclear and engineering environment.

You will report to the senior commercial team and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. The position is full-time with hybrid working (3 days in office) and requires SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Quantity Surveying role within engineering, construction, infrastructure or major project environments.
• Strong commercial management experience across large, complex contracts and project delivery programmes.
• Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects and engaging effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Detailed knowledge of commercial administration and contract management within engineering and construction sectors.
• Excellent NEC3 contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing commercial management and guidance across projects and contracts to maximise value and performance.
• Supporting project teams with commercial activities including contract administration, change management, compensation events and governance reviews.
• Managing commercial risk and ensuring contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Developing strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to align objectives and deliver successful outcomes.
• Leading post-contract commercial management activities, including subcontract administration, payment certification and final account settlements.
