Job summary

NG Bailey Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a commercial build project in Reading. The role focuses on safeguarding project profitability through effective contract administration and commercial management.

You will work closely with operations to manage risks, variations and payments, ensuring compliance with NEC4 where applicable and supporting sub-contract accounts through final settlement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with an M&E background.
• A degree/HNC level qualification and/or significant experience.
• Experience of change and subcontract management.
• A good understanding of NEC3/4 contracts (desirable).
• Will need to be able to gain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety message is visible and alive on the project.
• Ensure compliance to legal and company policies and processes.
• Understand contract terms and manage risks and opportunities.
• Maintain records to maximise contractual entitlements.
• Communicate with operations on risk and status.
• Prepare, submit applications and secure recovery of payment.
• Manage sub-contract accounts through final account settlement.
• Monitor progress with operations and provide internal reporting.
• Ensure delivery of project reports, certificates, payments and tender allowances.
• Negotiate to settle the project account with the client.
