Job summary

Balfour Beatty Rail is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead a team of Quantity Surveyors on a major framework programme. You will provide commercial leadership and oversee close-outs across schemes, working with regional teams to deliver exceptional project outcomes.

You will drive profitability by developing commercial strategies, maintain cost reporting, forecast costs to completion and ensure timely variations and valuations. Strong leadership and CSCS access a must.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading commercial teams
• CSCS card required
• Membership of professional body desirable (RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE)

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors to deliver on a major framework programme
• Provide commercial leadership and oversight for close-out of schemes
• Develop and implement commercial strategy to achieve margins
• Maintain contract cost reporting with budget/tender allowances and deviations
• Forecast costs to completion and monitor cash flow
• Manage subcontract tender process and sub-contractor selection
• Interface effectively with customers, subcontractors and internal teams
