Job summary

YTL UK is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major capital investment programme across the Wessex Water region. You will work across Bristol, Bath, Yeovil, Poole and Taunton, spending time on site or in regional hubs as needed.

You will lead pre- and post-contract activities, manage payment processes, enable value engineering, and mentor junior surveyors while reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying or equivalent.
• Experience with change and risk management and tender/final account negotiation.
• Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing commercial teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• RICS/ICES membership desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract payment process across projects, forecast CVRs and report changes, opportunities and risks.
• Prepare subcontractor tender documentation and detailed scopes of work.
• Engage and assess supply chain partners for capability and delivery.
• Lead tender analysis, interviews and reporting.
• Develop project risk registers and explore value engineering opportunities.
• Operate to financial deadlines and ensure best value in delivery.
• Attend monthly CVRs and commercial reports with senior team.
