Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey’s Workspace division is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to drive success on high value projects. You will prepare, negotiate and analyse costs, manage subcontractors and procurement, and oversee monthly CVRs.

With extensive construction experience and JCT/NEC contract knowledge, you’ll mentor the Commercial team and collaborate with site and operations to deliver excellence. Flexible and hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in construction or related field.
• Extensive experience in construction industry.
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, negotiate and analyse costs for budgets.
• Pre-qualify sub-contractors and manage procurement and documentation.
• Assess interim payments and related notices.
• Advise on contractual issues and manage commercial risks.
• Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and plan/assign work.
• Support and mentor the Commercial team and QS staff.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure commercial alignment.
