Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team, based from their Waterloo head office. You will lead commercial management of projects and mentor junior staff while reporting to senior leadership.

The role emphasises leadership, stakeholder engagement, and robust commercial processes across projects within a major contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Significant Quantity Surveying experience within construction.
• Experience managing a commercial team.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement and subcontracts.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for projects from procurement through to final account.
• Lead and develop junior members of the commercial team.
• Prepare valuations, cost reports and financial forecasts.
• Manage budgets, cash flow and client accounts.
• Liaise with Project Managers and site teams to mitigate commercial risk.
