Job summary

HD Surveyors Ltd. in Brighton is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on a range of projects. You will own cost plans, budgeting, tender documentation and procurement advice, coordinating with architects, engineers and contractors.

The role features flexible hybrid working, a defined route toward Associate level, and a salary of £55,000–£70,000 plus discretionary bonus, pension and private health insurance.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction discipline.
• MRICS preferred, with experienced-route candidates also considered.
• Minimum two years’ post-qualification quantity surveying experience.
• Pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of quantity surveying commissions from initial enquiry through to final account.
• Manage new-build and refurbishment projects from approximately £200,000 to £40 million.
• Deliver cost planning, budgeting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare tender documentation and provide procurement advice.
• Manage tender processes and report recommendations to clients.
• Administer contracts and maintain commercial reporting.
• Monitor variations, expenditure and project financial risk.
• Provide pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying services.
• Advise clients directly on cost, procurement and commercial matters.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and wider consultant teams.
