Job summary

A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its Hertfordshire-based team. The role involves office work with site visits, handling multiple live schemes from lead-in to final account, and taking ownership of projects while collaborating with the commercial and operational teams.

You will join an experienced, tight-knit department in a relaxed, hands-on environment. Hybrid working is available, with a strong pipeline of projects valued between £1m and £15m across

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• A construction-related qualification such as an HNC, HND, degree or equivalent.
• Confident managing more than one scheme at a time.
• Able to work independently and take full ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for a couple of live construction schemes at the same time.
• Manage procurement, subcontractor packages and tender enquiries.
• Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports and cash-flow forecasts.
• Monitor project costs, programme implications and commercial risk.
• Manage subcontractor accounts through to agreement of final accounts.
• Work closely with project teams to keep schemes commercially controlled and on budget.
• Provide clear commercial updates to senior management.
