Vantage Consulting Limited in Gateshead is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial team. You will manage the commercial aspects from initial stages through to completion and work on projects spanning £50k to £15m.

You will prepare payments, valuations and variations, oversee procurement and subcontractor management, monitor costs, and report on performance while collaborating with PMs and clients. Office-based with some flexibility to work from home.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within commercial construction or related sector.
• Strong understanding of valuations, variations, procurement and subcontractor management.
• Experience working for a principal contractor or established construction contractor advantageous.
• MEP/building services or data-centre experience desirable but not essential.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Proactive, organised and take ownership of commercial responsibilities.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the commercial aspects of construction and engineering projects from initial stages through to completion.
• Prepare and manage applications for payment, valuations and variations.
• Oversee procurement activities, subcontractor appointments and subcontract orders.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and subcontractors for successful delivery.
• Support contract administration and commercial reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to development and improvement of commercial processes.
