Job summary

Linear Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional building contractor. The role involves taking commercial ownership of projects from procurement through to final account, with duties spanning cost management, budgeting, and client/subcontractor negotiations.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in building projects, strong commercial acumen and the ability to work with project teams to maximise profitability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong background in building construction projects.
• Experience managing high-value packages or projects.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for projects.
• Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
• Prepare and review monthly cost reports and CVRs.
• Lead subcontract procurement, package negotiation and appointment.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Administer contracts, including variations and notices.
• Negotiate final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to maximise profitability.
