Job summary

Salutem Care & Education is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost and commercial management across its growth and capital projects. You will establish robust commercial controls from opportunity appraisal through final account, providing senior leaders with reliable costs and disciplined change control.

Qualifications

• Chartered Quantity Surveyor with MRICS or equivalent.
• Extensive experience leading cost and commercial management across a portfolio.
• Advanced knowledge of procurement, standard forms of contract, change control and claims.
• Experience in care, SEND education, healthcare or regulated settings.

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial approach across the growth portfolio and set the standards for cost planning, procurement and reporting.
• Provide independent cost and risk advice on acquisitions, developments and major refurbishments.
• Lead feasibility estimating, value engineering, tender processes and commercial negotiations.
• Oversee valuations, variations, claims and final accounts during delivery.
• Produce portfolio-level commercial reports for senior leadership.
• Line-manage and develop the Quantity Surveyor.
