Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. You will manage commercial and contractual aspects across nationwide projects, with emphasis on subcontractor accounts and cost control.

The role requires strong negotiation and analytical skills and offers a pathway to professional accreditation. You will work with internal teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to maximise profitability while minimising commercial risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in Quantity Surveying within construction.
• Experience in subcontractor account management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong commercial and contractual management knowledge within construction.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• HND or degree in a relevant discipline advantageous; RICS progress helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects.
• Review, analyse and agree subcontract documentation, including terms and conditions, warranties and bonds.
• Prepare, assess and submit variations, claims and measurements for interim valuations and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and revenue, including the preparation of cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Negotiate and agree subcontractor accounts.
• Attend sites nationwide to liaise with relevant project stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Support the successful financial and commercial delivery of projects throughout their lifecycle.
