Job summary

A well-established construction company in the North West is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team. This position involves working across Industrial, Logistics, Commercial, and Residential projects, providing both office and site-based support. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in quantity surveying, knowledge of construction law, and strong commercial management skills. Qualifications

• Proven experience working for a Main Contractor.
• Familiarity with relevant construction contracts.
• Knowledge of current construction regulations.
• Experience in commercial management.
• Experience in procurement of subcontractors, measurement and control cycle, certificates and accruals calculations.
• Good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work on various projects reporting to the Regional Commercial Manager.
• Provide commercial support across projects.
• Ensure effective administration for project objectives.

Skills

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor

Familiarity with JCT/NEC forms of contract

What You’ll Do

• Work on a variety of projects reporting directly to the Regional Commercial Manager.
• Provide a mix of office and site‑based work, supplying commercial support to the project teams on all projects for which you are responsible.
• Ensure that projects are administered effectively and that the business objectives in terms of appropriate commercial targets and customer focus are achieved.

What We’re Looking For

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor.
• Familiarity with JCT/NEC/ forms of contract.
• Knowledge of current Construction Law.
• Experience in commercial management.
• Experience in procurement of subcontractors, measurement and control cycle, certificates and accruals calculations.
• Good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis.
