Job summary

OCU is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on major electrical infrastructure projects across the UK, based in Scotland and office based. You will oversee NEC3/NEC4 contracts, drive cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, and collaborate with clients and supply chain to deliver strong financial outcomes.

The role requires experience in utilities/infrastructure, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to handle multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor/Senior QS in utilities, power, infrastructure or civil engineering.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract management experience (Option C).
• Excellent cost management, forecasting, budgeting and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial activities on infrastructure and power projects from tender to final account.
• Manage NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including Early Warning Notices and Change management.
• Drive cost control, forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting for projects.
• Prepare, negotiate and settle subcontract packages, variations and final accounts.
• Build strong relationships with clients, operations and supply chain.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement strategies.
• Produce cost reports and forecasts for senior stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior commercial team members.
