Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Bathgate office and support the commercial team in delivering profitable projects. You will help with cost control, timely applications for payment and robust reporting across schemes.

The role reports to the Regional Commercial Manager and involves managing contract delivery cash flow, change control, and risk management to maximise returns for the business.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree educated or HND/HNC equivalent.
• Essential : NEC Experience.
• Essential: Substantial experience working in contracting commercial department.
• Essential: Experience of on multi-disciplined HV/LV Infrastructure projects is desirable, working with DNO’s and Private Networks experience is preferrable.
• Essential: Proficient in Microsoft packages (Excel).
• Desirable: Driving license.
• Desirable: Use of ERP systems such as COINS.
• Desirable: Hold or working toward Professional Qualificatn.
• Desirable: Working knowledge of construction industry conditions of contract.

Responsibilities

• Management of application and credit control processes.
• Management of optimisation of income.
• Management of all processes regarding costing and forecasting.
• Management of change control system.
• Input into the management of project risk.
• Management of CTC and CVRs.
• Management of the full sub-contract cycle.
• Provision of commercial advice to Project Team.
• Development of team spirit and trustworthiness within Project Commercial Team and with Client and S/C.
• Management of dispute resolution.
• Communications within the Project Commercial Team and with the Project Team.
• Management of Training plans.
• Input into the tendering process.
