Job summary

Carmichael UK is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor with recent tier one contracting experience for major infrastructure/rail projects. The role focuses on managing subcontractor accounts, NEC contract administration, and cost reporting in a hybrid office setting in the Uxbridge area.

The ideal candidate holds a Quantity Surveying degree and MRICS/MCInstCES or equivalent, with strong NEC experience and exposure to JV projects. Proficiency in Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong NEC contract experience on large infrastructure civil projects.
• MCInstCES or MRICS (or eligible)
• Experience on rail projects advantageous.
• Proficient in Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the efficient and contract compliant documentation.
• Support procurement through tenders and subcontract documentation.
• Manage subcontracts from order placement to final account.
• Prepare, review and complete subcontract documentation.
• Prepare and agree interim payments and final accounts with subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering and client commercial teams.
• Maintain cost reports, forecasts and contract budgets.
• Identify risks and opportunities and support change control processes.
