Job summary
T. E. D Recruitment Ltd client in Glasgow seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager with 4+ years in a UK PQS environment.
The role covers pre and post-contract duties across residential, leisure, industrial and education sectors, with hybrid working one day per week. You should hold a UK QS qualification (BSc or equivalent) and may already be RICS Chartered; APC support is offered. JCT contract experience is essential; NEC knowledge is a plus.
Qualifications
- You will have at least four years post graduate experience in a UK PQS firm.
- Recognised UK qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., BSc in Quantity Surveying)
- Interest in pursuing RICS chartership with client support available
- Experience with JCT contracts; NEC knowledge is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Manage pre and post-contract activities for varied projects.
- Prepare cost plans, estimates and cash-flow forecasts.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and design teams to resolve cost issues.
- Apply knowledge of JCT/ NEC contracts to protect commercial interests.
