Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for an initial 6-month contract in the West Midlands. The role offers hybrid working with 70% remote and 30% site/office presence, focusing on pre-contract work and cost management across education, housing, leisure and landscape sectors.

You will handle cost planning, feasibility studies, procurement and contract negotiation, with autonomy across multiple projects and strong client/stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong pre-contract quantity surveying experience.
• Experience across sectors such as education, housing, leisure or landscape.
• Good knowledge of JCT contracts.
• Experience with cost planning, estimating and procurement.
• The ability to work independently with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning and estimating for multiple projects.
• Feasibility studies and financial appraisals.
• Preparation of Bills of Quantities.
• Tender and procurement documentation.
• Procurement advice and strategy.
• Contract selection and negotiation.
