Job summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support to Delivery Teams, with NEC4 focus. Hybrid role based UK-wide with travel to client sites and regional offices, including Swansea.

Role requires 40 hours/week, strong contract negotiation, invoicing, reporting and change control skills, plus a full UK driving licence. Desirable MEICA/Water sector experience and CM-level qualification are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in QS environment with NEC4 contracts.
• Ability to read and understand project scope documents and drawings.
• MS Excel to advanced level.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and finalise awarded contracts to secure a commercially advantageous position.
• Accurately compile and deliver monthly reporting.
• Manage project invoicing and reflect on-site progress and contractual entitlements.
• Lead change control with Delivery Teams to capture, value and approve variations.
• Set up client contracts and subcontract agreements promptly and support procurement, tender evaluations and award decisions.
• Ensure contractual obligations, procedures and legislation are met.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial processes and reporting tools.
• Ensure health, safety and sustainability considerations are reflected in commercial decisions.
