Job summary

ERSG Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor for a freelance six-month contract to support major highways and bridge packages. The role is based in Newport with regular site visits to Gloucester.

Responsibilities include commercial management, cost control, forecasting and reporting, subcontract management and NEC contract administration; NEC3/NEC4 experience and familiarity with NEC Options A & B preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as SQS/MQS/Senior Commercial Manager.
• Strong highways, structures, bridges or heavy civils background.
• Good working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4.
• Ideally experience with NEC Options A & B.
• Strong subcontract and commercial management experience.
• Comfortable working across site and project teams.

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor for a 6-month freelance contract, supporting the delivery of major highways and bridge packages.

The role will be based in Newport, with regular site visits required in Gloucester.

The Role

• Commercial management of highways and bridge packages
• Cost control, forecasting and reporting
• Subcontract management and procurement
• Valuations, payments, variations and change management
• Supporting commercial strategy and contractual compliance
• Working closely with project and delivery teams
• Managing NEC contractual processes

Experience Required
