Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on high‑value construction projects across Edinburgh and the East of Scotland. The role combines client-facing duties with technical cost planning and procurement oversight within a supportive, growing team.

You will contribute to bids, mentor junior colleagues, and help expand the regional practice while embracing hybrid working arrangements and a broad sector portfolio.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• MRICS qualified or working towards chartership.
• Experience across pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial delivery of major construction projects.
• Manage cost control, commercial performance and project risk.
• Own key client and stakeholder relationships.
• Provide reporting on financial performance, risks and opportunities.
• Undertake pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties.
• Advise clients on commercial matters and procurement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive best practice.
• Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and develop team capability.
• Support bids, business development and client relationships.
• Contribute to the regional Scottish and Northern Ireland practice.
