Job summary

Trant Engineering is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide expert commercial and contract management across multiple projects in the South East of England. The role focuses on monitoring costs, managing subcontractors, and ensuring contracts are administered in line with company procedures.

You will support project teams to deliver on time and within budget, handling variations, claims, and robust financial reporting while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in engineering, construction, or utilities.
• Strong knowledge of UK contract forms and commercial procedures.
• Experience managing costs, variations, and claims across multiple projects.
• Excellent financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert commercial and contract management across multiple projects.
• Monitor costs, manage subcontractors, and administer contracts.
• Support Managing Quantity Surveyor and project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
• Ensure robust cost control, manage variations and claims, and support financial reporting.
• Mentor junior commercial staff and liaison with clients and suppliers.
