Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on high-value projects across the UK. You will administer contracts, manage budgets, and support tendering, variations, and final accounts.

You will advise project teams on risks, supervise subcontractors, and drive robust cost control and reporting, with potential Chartered status (RICS) desirable and hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Proven experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor on engineering, construction, or utilities projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK contract forms and commercial procedures.
• Experience managing costs, variations, and claims across multiple projects.
• Desirable Chartered status (RICS) or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Administer contracts and support tender documents, budgets, and variations.
• Advise on contractual obligations, commercial risks, and potential claims.
• Monitor budgets, expenditure, forecasts, and cost reports for projects.
• Manage subcontractor contracts, payments, and variations.
• Support final accounts preparation and submission.
• Provide commercial guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
