Job summary

Taylor Wimpey plc is seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee full commercial management of housing projects from inception to completion. You will provide land purchase cost information, manage the flow of Health and Safety data from the Commercial Department, and perform CDM‑defined duties.

You will monitor costs, prepare detailed site budgets, and drive value engineering to optimise profit and efficiency.

Qualifications

Wide experience in the house building industry.
Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health and Safety requirements.
Industry related business qualification.
Strong managerial and negotiation skills with internal and external clients.
Working knowledge of contract law.
IT literate (COINS system preferred).
Preferably member of CIOB or RICS.

Responsibilities

Full commercial management of housing projects from conception to completion.
Provide information for land purchase exercises to enable cost consideration.
Manage flow of Health and Safety information from the Commercial Department.
Carry out Commercial duties as defined within CDM.
Monitor and report build costs with savings/overs.
Prepare site budgets and share with the Site Manager.
Value engineering to optimise profit and efficiency.
Price and manage subcontractors for the Customer Options system.
For land opportunities, prepare estimates of prime costs and use COINS for feasibility.
