Projects: New build, refurbishment and fit-out schemes across Hertfordshire and London

An established main contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in Hitchin. You will take commercial ownership of two live schemes or lead one larger project, working across varied new build, refurbishment and fit-out work with an experienced team around you.

The business has been established for more than 40 years and has a strong pipeline of secured work across Hertfordshire and London. Projects include design and build, new build, refurbishment and fit-out schemes across the commercial, healthcare, education, community, leisure and retail sectors.

The workload is varied and includes technically demanding heritage refurbishments in busy Central London locations. Schemes can involve structural alterations, façade and roofing works, specialist finishes and major MEP upgrades, often in live or occupied environments.

You will have the freedom to make commercial decisions and run your projects properly, with support available when needed. Senior management is accessible, the commercial team is settled and the role offers a practical mix of office, site and home working.
